Supply of raw materials (seeds) to be processed.
The seed obtained should be stored under suitable storage conditions. Otherwise, a high degree of bacterial growth will occur in the product obtained as a result of real cold press production. This is why seed preservation is very important. It is preferably a cold storage enclosure. Or it should be stored in vacuum packages.
Seeds must be cleaned before the seed press units. It should be cleaned in sortex process or grading or windy sieving machines to a degree that does not contain different seed types.
Most of the oil seeds contain moisture. Moisture will pose a threat to the oil quality, so drying is recommended in the last stage of the seed before processing.
The seeds are dried at less than 40 degrees.
Dried seeds are ground or crushed in the same process.
Conveyors transport the dried, ground oil seeds to the bunkers.
The oily seeds from the bunkers are taken directly to the suction part of the presses without being exposed to any heat or with frying pans.
From here, it proceeds to the grinding and oil extraction heads by means of rollers.
The cold pressing process takes place here, and the crude oils are collected in chrome filters and chrome grooves.
In the process after fat burning, the fat-free or 1- 3% maximum fat pulp comes out of the nozzles in the form of sausage.
Head temperature between 40 and 200 degrees according to the type of the product is required so that it does not clog during the finishing period and that the hard pulp does not interfere with oil pressing by knitting the dam.It is necessary for the flow of pulp.
After the pressed process, the oils collected in the oil troughs are collected by passing through thick sieves to 304 or 316 stainless chrome boilers.
The cold pressed herbal oils collected in these boilers are left for 2 to 7 days.
During the holding period, sediments and solids that are not visible in the oil at first stage and whose parity are very small form a layer under the boiler.
Infused oil is sent to paper or cloth filters without moving the solid layer. At this stage, the filtered oils become clear.
In all these processes, the environment must be healthy and sterile. Otherwise, these cold press oils, whose active ingredients and components are very effective, are also very valuable bacterial nutrients. Under non-sterile or unhealthy conditions, cold press oils can become bacteria nests.
This is how cold press method essential oil production process.
